Dr. Leah Kaye joins the ranks of Dr. Bruce Shapiro and Dr. Carrie Bedient as a dual board certified OBGYN and reproductive endocrinologist. This makes her the second female physician in Nevada to earn this designation. The first woman to do it was our own Dr. Bedient.

Becoming dual board certified is a rigorous process
To earn dual board certification, Dr. Leah Kaye went through multiple years of medical training and practice.
- Medical school (four years)
- Obstetrics and gynecology residency (four years)
- Reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship (three years)
- Post-fellowship practice (at least two years)
After completing all these steps, Dr. Kaye was eligible to take her boards. Like the rest of our Las Vegas fertility specialists, she passed two written and two oral exams. One set of exams focused on obstetrics and gynecology, and the other concentrated on reproductive endocrinology and infertility topics.
By passing this examination, Dr. Kaye has shown that she thoroughly understands reproductive medicine and is highly qualified to diagnose and treat the complex causes of infertility.
Dr. Leah Kaye is excited to join an elite group of physicians
Not all doctors who provide fertility care have earned dual board certification. In fact, it’s an elite group of doctors, and it’s one that Dr. Leah Kaye is honored to join.
“My goal as a reproductive endocrinologist is to help my patients overcome any obstacles that stand in the way of them starting or growing their family. Becoming dual board certified allows me to provide the best fertility care as I work to make parenthood possible for my patients,” Dr. Kaye explains.
This fertility doctor is also excited to become the second female board certified fertility specialist in Nevada. “It’s such an amazing honor, as both a physician and a woman, to have earned this designation,” Dr. Kaye says. “The only thing that makes it better is that I get to share this with Dr. Bedient, who is the first woman in Nevada to earn this title.”
