About Dr. Carrie Bedient, Southern Nevada’s only female board certified REI
As Southern Nevada’s only female board certified reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Carrie Bedient feels privileged to help men and women reach their full family-building potential. She is dual board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology as well as reproductive endocrinology and infertility, with advanced training in minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery.

A look at her background and experience
After graduating from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Dr. Carrie Bedient performed her residency at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic Foundation Metrohealth Medical Center. She then completed a fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Emory University.
Our Las Vegas fertility doctor earned the Khalid Ataya Excellence in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Award. She was also invited to join the Gold Humanism Honor Society for exhibiting empathy, compassion, respect, altruism and integrity in medicine.
Dr. Carrie Bedient contributes to the field of reproductive medicine by teaching at all MD programs in the city. She is a clinical assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, OB/GYN residency faculty at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and an adjunct faculty member at the Las Vegas Minimally Invasive Surgery and Women’s Pelvic Health Center.
Additionally, she is the director of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Mountainview obstetrics and gynecology residency program. In this role, she develops curriculum, lectures and teaches future doctors as they go through their rotations. Her efforts are providing Las Vegas with more OB/GYNs with exceptional training.
She also excels at research and investigates the causes of infertility and improved protocols in advanced reproductive technology. Her published papers and book chapters discuss frozen versus fresh embryo transfers, the use of robotics in reproductive surgery, adolescent fertility preservation and a comparison of robotic and laparoscopic myomectomy.

Our Las Vegas fertility doctor is particularly interested in fertility preservation for patients undergoing toxic therapies for medical conditions such as cancer, as well as third party reproduction for same-sex couples and individuals. She has advanced training in minimally invasive surgery to correct uterine anomalies, endometriosis and other gynecological issues.
Dr. Carrie Bedient is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society.
In her spare time, she gives back to the community, advocating for women’s health initiatives. She also enjoys traveling, baking, crafting and spending time with her husband and two young children, and taking walks with her dog Gigi.
