Our surrogacy experts shared their perspectives and knowledge at the SEEDS Conference

Additionally, our team members are often sought out to speak at industry events like the SEEDS Conference. This was the case for our own Raquel Arana this fall.
What is SEEDS and how does it relate to surrogacy?
SEEDS is The Society of Ethics for Egg Donation and Surrogacy. This non-profit group promotes the best ethical standards for all parties involved in third party reproduction, including the patients, clinics, agencies, donors and surrogates.
To achieve its goals, SEEDS focuses its efforts primarily on education. As a result, it regularly hosts events like the SEEDS Conference. During these conferences, experts discuss relevant topics in the spaces of egg donation and surrogacy.
A look at who attended the SEEDS Conference this year
For the fall 2024 conference on Nov. 7 and 8, Raquel Arana was invited to speak on a panel about surrogacy matches. Entitled “You’ve Lost that Loving Feeling: Navigating Match Breaks,” Raquel and her three co-panelists talked about what happens when surrogacy matches fall through. As our Spanish IVF case manager, she provided insights about this situation from the perspective of a fertility clinic.
Dr. Leah Kaye and Romain Taillandier, our French IVF case manager, also attended the conference to represent our Las Vegas fertility clinic. This fall’s SEEDS Conference was the organization’s most attended event to date. The record attendance gave our team unique opportunities for both networking and continuing education, which benefits all our patients.
