Desiree Samano helps patients navigate the world of insurance as a financial coordinator
Sometimes, financing fertility care can be even more stressful than going through fertility treatments. The Fertility Center of Las Vegas wants to make family-building options more affordable for all. One of the ways we do this at our Las Vegas fertility center is by hiring talented people like Financial Coordinator Desiree Samano.
Desiree handles everything from sending insurance claims to appealing insurance denials. This involves a lot of phone calls and emails with hopeful parents, insurance providers and coworkers.
“Working as a team helps us make sure that patients get the coverage they deserve for the fertility care they need,” she explains.
Bringing more than a decade of experience in the medical field
Although she joined our Las Vegas fertility center within the past year, Desiree Samano has been in the medical field for 12 years. Her experience has proven invaluable as she guides patients through the financial side of their fertility journeys.
During an average day, Desiree sends claims to insurance, posts payments, and communicates with both insurance companies and patients.
“Often, I’m reaching out to insurers for claim information, medical records or appeals,” she says. “As for patients, I help them with insurance claims and balances on their accounts. Understanding the medical field helps me better assist patients every day.”
This financial coordinator understands how stressful it can be for patients who are anxiously awaiting news from their insurers. As a result, she is dedicated to helping each person get the answers and coverage they need — even if it means a lot of extra communication with insurance providers.
“Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my hard work of going back and forth with insurers pay off when they process and pay the claims correctly,” Desiree says. “I just love knowing that I’ve helped patients add to their families with help from their insurance coverage.”

For this financial coordinator, there’s nothing quite like working at our Las Vegas fertility center.
“I love working here because everyone has been so kind and helpful,” she says. “From the moment I started, everyone has always been willing to help with any questions, and the team welcomed me with open arms as part of the FCLV family.”
Outside of work, this Northern California native loves trying new restaurants and watching sporting events, such as football, hockey and baseball. However, her favorite pastime is spending quality time with her blended family that includes her daughter, Syrena; her boyfriend, David; David’s son, Jr.; and their dog, Ranger.
