IVF research to be presented at a premier scientific conference

One of the reasons that our Las Vegas fertility center has become an international destination for fertility treatment is our commitment to advancing the science of reproductive medicine. Through IVF research, our physicians and scientists work collaboratively to unlock the mysteries of infertility and find new, effective treatments to help more people grow their families.

We are proud to announce that three of our recent studies have been accepted for presentation at one of fertility medicine’s most prestigious and important scientific conferences: The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) 2018 Scientific Congress & Expo.

This year, all three of the studies we submitted to ASRM were accepted for poster presentation. Typically, ASRM receives about 3,000 abstract submissions. Of those, about one third are accepted for presentation, making our 100% acceptance rate even more remarkable.

IVF research accepted

The ongoing IVF research conducted at our Las Vegas fertility center contributes to the worldwide base of knowledge about the science of IVF, helping both physicians and embryology teams adopt new approaches to improve pregnancy rates.

Our physicians, Bruce Shapiro MD, PhD and Carrie Bedient MD, will present their fresh research at the ASRM conference in Denver on October 9 and 10, 2018.

  • Blastocyst Morphometry Is Predicted by the Diameter of the Originating Ovarian Follicle. (Lead author: Dr. Shapiro)
  • The Effect of Ovarian Follicle Size on the Formation of Good Quality Blastocysts. (Lead author: Dr. Shapiro)
  • Blastocyst Aneuploidy as a Function of the Diameter of the Originating Ovarian Follicle. (Lead author: Dr. Bedient)

Each of these abstracts is a product of our study on the effect of ovarian follicle size on the ability to collect an egg from that follicle and the ability of that egg to produce a good quality embryo.
