Find out what sperm freezing involves

If you’re interested in sperm freezing and think you could be a good candidate, our Las Vegas fertility clinic is here to support you. To start, one of our doctors will order a semen analysis. This test can help you and your doctor learn about your sperm count and sperm quality.

If you have a high enough sperm count and enough high-quality sperm, your doctor will ask you to provide a semen sample. You will do so by masturbating into a sterile collection container. If you are unable to masturbate for religious reasons, we can provide a special condom for semen collection.

After you collect your sample and bring it to our clinic, andrologists in the lab will prepare the sample and freeze it. Your frozen sperm can then go into frozen storage for as long as you need.

When you’re ready to conceive, andrologists will thaw your sperm. Your doctor can then use it to help you conceive via IUI or IVF with or without a gestational surrogate.
