FCLV is home to two 2018 ASRM Star Award winners
The team at our Las Vegas fertility center is renowned for performing breakthrough research that changes the practice of reproductive medicine. The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Annual Meeting is a time for leaders in the field to share their original research with their colleagues. Bruce Shapiro MD and Forest Garner MS are both ASRM Star Award recipients in 2018, demonstrating their commitment to research and advancement.
What is the ASRM Star Award?
Recipients of the ASRM Star Award have presented original research or have provided educational post-graduate seminars for fellow physicians in at least nine of the last 10 ASRM Annual Meetings. Dr. Shapiro has presented at every Annual Meeting in the last decade. Additionally, he and Mr. Garner are the only ASRM Star Award recipients in Nevada this year. Our Las Vegas fertility center is proud of their hard work and dedication to fertility research.
This year, there are approximately 200 ASRM Star Award recipients. Because the Annual Meeting sees about 6,000 attendees each year, it is an honor to receive the ASRM Star Award.
This esteemed group of winners includes medical doctors (MDs), embryologists, researchers and nurses. Additionally, urologists, obgyns and mental health professionals routinely present their research findings related to infertility at ASRM.
The role of research at FCLV
Each of the physicians at our Las Vegas fertility center, including Dr. Shapiro, Carrie Bedient MD and Leah Kaye MD, will be presenting original research at ASRM 2018. By performing leading-edge research in reproductive medicine, our physicians can make a difference in the lives of our patients as well as in the lives of men and women around the United States and the world.
