The Fertility Center of Las Vegas

Fertility research helps our team improve fertility care for all

The Fertility Center of Las Vegas (FCLV) is a pioneer in fertility research. Our research and clinical trials have made IVF safer, more efficient and more successful for hopeful parents.

Our efforts haven’t gone unnoticed. Fertility and Sterility is the primary journal for our field. For its 75th anniversary in 2025, the journal named our research among the most influential. It even stated that one of our studies is one of the journal’s 33rd most-cited piece of research.

What is the most influential fertility research?

The research that inspired this praise came from two clinical trials from 2011. These trials compared frozen and fresh embryo transfers. Dr. Bruce Shapiro and our other researchers concluded that ovarian stimulation medications affected the success of fresh transfers. This ushered in an era of freeze-all IVF cycles.

After presenting these findings in Stockholm, Dr. Shapiro was told, “Many people have been working on this problem for a long time. You broke it wide open. Congratulations.”

Additionally, IVF pioneer Jacques Cohen, editor-in-chief of the Journal Reproductive Biomedicine Online, called our studies “two of the most important trials in the past 10 years.”

Our groundbreaking research continues to change the field

Today, modern centers freeze all embryos at the blastocyst stage. They then perform genetic testing as needed and transfer one thawed blastocyst into each patient. Most of these transfers will achieve a live birth. This is true even in patients over 40.

With modern practice, both ovarian hyperstimulation (OHSS) and the risk of pregnancy with multiples have been nearly eliminated. Multiple pregnancy (twins, triplets, etc.) comes with a higher risk of prematurity and a very low birthweight. As a result, transferring a single embryo is an important improvement for patients.

Looking to the future with clinical trials

Our Las Vegas fertility clinic is still committed to fertility research. Our goals include helping our patients produce more viable embryos and getting embryos to implant more reliably. We also want to continue improving the safety of fertility treatments like IVF.

Our team won’t stop until every patient can have a healthy baby. You can help make this possible by participating in clinical trials. Not only can you help patients like you, but you can also enjoy other benefits:

  • Discounted or even free fertility medications
  • Discounted or even free IVF cycles
  • Help from experts on the journey to have a healthy baby

Together, we can help make parenthood possible for all. Contact us to learn more.
