Helping new patients get started with fertility careDebbie Rivera is a trained medical assistant and former IVF coordinator who has been working in fertility care since 2004. Her empathetic nature and extensive experience make her the ideal person to welcome new and returning patients to the Fertility Center of Las Vegas.

As a new patient concierge, Debbie acts as the initial contact for men and women interested in pursuing fertility treatments. Her duties include referring physicians, answering online and email inquiries, scheduling appointments, explaining insurance coverage and answering questions about fertility diagnosis and treatment.

A compassionate approach to fertility care

Debbie’s natural compassion and positive nature help patients feel at ease during their journey. Her personal experiences with health issues give her an extra dose of empathy for men and women who are often surprised to find themselves in need of a fertility specialist.

“My dream was to have a big family, but due to fertility issues, I couldn’t,” she explains. “I’ve experienced multiple miscarriages and the loss of a child, but eventually was able to give birth to a healthy baby girl. My heart is here. I get very emotional for every woman and man who comes to us seeking help.”

Fueled by her sense of service and passion to help others in need, Debbie decided to get further training as a medical assistant.

Certificate in hand, she launched her medical assistant career in geriatric care. However, it wasn’t long before she discovered the special place in her heart for people in need of fertility services. She joined our fertility center in 2009 as an IVF coordinator, before taking some time off for health reasons in 2016. Her passion for fertility care drew her back to FCLV in 2018 and has been at the heart of FCLV ever since.

“This place is a family,” she says. “The doctors here always give me encouragement and every member of the team genuinely cares for one another.”

Focus on family and fun
