Your IVF Guide
In addition to your fertility specialist, you will be supported by an IVF case manager who will serve as your guide to navigate you through the complex IVF process.
Christie Dabney, IVF Coordinator
Christie Dabney is the IVF coordinator who helps guide many of our Las Vegas patients through the IVF process, answering questions and consulting with patients about everything from egg retrieval to frozen embryo transfer. She also makes IVF treatment schedules, orders medications and updates cycle spreadsheets. Although Christie coordinates IVF in Las Vegas for multiple patients at a time, every man, woman and couple she works with gets her “high-TLC” approach.
Christie, who is a certified medical assistant, started her healthcare career with an interest in oncology, but quickly found her calling in fertility care at her first job in Beverly Hills, California, in 2002. By the time she moved to Las Vegas in 2012 and joined our team, she had a decade of hands-on experience guiding patients through fertility treatment. Christie is one of five team members serving on our Patient Services Committee, working to streamline patient care and minimize stress for the men and women we serve.
Ashlei Newton, English-Language IVF Case Manager
As an IVF case manager, Ashlei Newton guides hopeful parents, egg donors and gestational carriers through the IVF process from initial consultation through the first trimesters of pregnancy. In addition to using Skype to coordinate patient treatment plans and attending all physician visits to provide support, she also works with patients, labs and third party agencies to coordinate and schedule care and keep patients updated. A former FCLV patient whose son was conceived through IVF, Ashlei has a special passion for women’s health and an empathetic approach to every patient interaction.
Ashlei joined the FCLV team as a medical assistant in 2012, and moved into her current role in 2015. In addition to managing the care of local patients who need third party IVF to have a child, she is also responsible for most English-speaking patients who come to The Fertility Center of Las Vegas from all over the world. Throughout the day, it’s not uncommon for Ashlei to talk with hopeful parents from Australia, Germany, Italy, the UK or Switzerland.
Ashlei understands that IVF can be a stressful experience for patients, whether they are struggling with infertility, or are a single person or same-sex couple in need of donor eggs, donor sperm or a gestational carrier to have a baby. Her personal experience with infertility and IVF makes her especially empathetic to patients who come to FCLV for help with the IVF process.
Raquel Arana, Spanish-Language IVF Case Manager
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Raquel Arana is our case manager who can translate and coordinate all IVF-related services for our Spanish-speaking patients, many of whom travel from Spain to Las Vegas for the best fertility care available. Raquel is your primary contact for IVF, donor egg and surrogacy services, explaining every detail of the process in the language you understand. If an egg donor or surrogate is needed, Raquel helps make connections with appropriate agencies and attorneys. She also attends physician visits, translating to help answer all of your questions and explain medical terms that don’t always easily translate.
A Las Vegas native, Raquel traces her history with our team back to 1998, when she came on board as a certified medical assistant. Though she left for two years to explore a career in the OBGYN field, she returned in 2001 and has been a valued member of our team ever since. She spent six years as our medical assistant supervisor, then in 2016, moved into her current role as IVF case manager.
Romain Taillandier, French-Language IVF Case Manager
When French-speaking patients are considering traveling to Las Vegas for IVF, Romain Taillandier is the person who will manage their IVF cycle, from the initial consultation through the first trimester of pregnancy. Fluent in both French and English, Romain primarily provides French fertility coordination services for egg donation and surrogacy, using Skype to coordinate patient treatment plans and attending all physician visits to provide translation and support. Romain also works with patients, labs and third party agencies to coordinate and schedule care and keep patients updated.
Having gone through the process of finding an egg donor, choosing a surrogate and experiencing third party IVF first-hand, Romain is a strong advocate for gay fertility treatment and parenting, as well as for all French couples and individuals who need third party reproductive services to grow their families.
Yena Li, Chinese-Language IVF Case Manager
When Chinese patients are considering traveling to Las Vegas for IVF, Yena Li is the person who will manage their IVF cycle, from the initial consultation through the first trimester of pregnancy. Yena is also the primary point of contact for our Chinese-speaking patients who live in the Las Vegas area.
Fluent in both Chinese and English, Yena is a friendly point of contact who can explain complex treatments and be your voice at every step. Most Chinese patients begin their treatment cycle while still in China, working with our staff there to initiate testing and treatment and minimize time spent traveling for IVF in Las Vegas. During this time, Yena translates during Skype visits with your physician and other care team members. Once you arrive in the United States, she is present at all visits to translate and assist. Yena also works with patients, labs and third party agencies to coordinate and schedule care and keep you updated.
