National kudos for our influential fertility research at FCLV

The Fertility Center of Las Vegas (FCLV) works hard to make parenthood possible for all. Performing groundbreaking research is one way we do this. Recently, Fertility and Sterility complimented our influential fertility research in a special article. This is a huge honor for everyone at our Las Vegas fertility clinic.

What is the journal of Fertility and Sterility?

You may have heard of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). This organization is the main medical society for infertility in the United States. Fertility and Sterility is the primary journal of ASRM.

As a well-respected journal, Fertility and Sterility is a leading source of information. This year, the journal celebrates 75 years of improving reproductive medicine.

Celebrating 75 years with the most influential fertility research

Since 1950, Fertility and Sterility has helped grow the field. As part of its 75th anniversary, the editor-in-chief acknowledged the most influential fertility research in an article.

This article listed the 75 most-cited research articles of the journal’s history. Research from our Las Vegas fertility clinic made this prestigious list. In fact, it earned the title of the 33rd most cited out of tens of thousands of articles published at the same time.

All about our celebrated research

Our own Dr. Bruce Shapiro performed this influential fertility research in 2011. The study suggested ovarian stimulation medications could affect fresh embryo transfers. This research was a game-changer and resulted in more freeze-all cycles for IVF.

According to the article from Fertility and Sterility, “These findings catalyzed the rise of freeze-all protocols, where embryos are cultured, vitrified and then transfer is deferred to a hormonally synchronized cycle.”

We continue to look for ways to improve the success of fertility care for hopeful parents like you. If you’d like to see the difference that FCLV care can make, contact us to schedule an appointment.
