Understanding IUI cycle costs helps you make informed decisions about your care
There is power in being an informed patient. At The Fertility Center of Las Vegas (FCLV), our team works hard to help patients better understand infertility. From diagnosis to treatment, we take the time to explain all the important details. However, we don’t stop with the medical side of infertility. We also address the financial side of it by thoroughly discussing IUI cycle costs at our Las Vegas fertility clinic.
What is included in IUI cycle costs?
If you and your doctor decide that intrauterine insemination (IUI) is the best treatment for you, you probably want to know the costs of IUI. When you receive treatment from FCLV, the following services are part of your self-pay IUI cycle cost (cycle inclusions differ when using insurance, depending on your plan).
- In-house ultrasound cycle monitoring
- In-house HCG blood tests at the baseline visit and the pregnancy test visit
- The IUI procedure itself
- Cycle administration and coordination costs
- The semen wash at our laboratory partner, Ovation® Fertility
All of these services are part of your IUI cycle fee. As a result, you don’t have to pay anything extra to receive them.
What is not included in the costs of IUI?
Your fee for IUI cycle costs covers many important parts of your treatment at our Las Vegas fertility clinic. However, it doesn’t cover everything. Below, you’ll see the services that are not included in the costs of IUI.
- Any required diagnostic testing performed before the IUI cycle
- Any labs other than the two package, including hCG blood tests
- IUI cycle medications (necessary)
- Pregnancy charges at FCLV (necessary once pregnant)
- Fertility surgeries and cyst procedures at FCLV (if needed)
- Sperm freezing and storage with Ovation® Fertility (if needed)
- Purchase and thaw of sperm at Ovation lab (if needed)
- Cycle blood test and ultrasound monitoring performed at another clinic (if requested)
- Medication injections from an FCLV employee (if requested)
All patients will need the first three services, including diagnostic testing, fertility medications and early pregnancy care. These are all separate from the costs of IUI.
The remaining services on this list are not part of every IUI cycle. Whether a patient needs them is determined based on the patient’s needs and preferences. If a patient does need or want any of these services, they will need to pay an additional fee for them.
