Learn how a new executive order could help with increasing access to IVF

Over the years, millions of parents have welcomed babies into their loving arms with help from in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, not everyone has been able to access this highly effective fertility treatment. The Fertility Center of Las Vegas (FCLV) is happy to report that this could change. A new executive order from the White House could help with increasing access to IVF.

What do you need to know about this executive order?

On February 18, 2025, we learned that an executive order was signed to help improve access to IVF. The order began by acknowledging the emotional and financial burden of infertility, which affects as many as one in seven couples. It then expressed the importance of increasing access to IVF to combat this problem.

To make it easier to get the fertility treatments hopeful parents need, the executive order discussed the need to protect IVF access and reduce out-of-pocket costs.

Affordable access. IVF can cost $12,000 to $25,000 per cycle, so the administration wants to find ways to ensure affordable, reliable access to IVF.
Legislation and policies: Moving forward, the goal is to ease unnecessary statutory and regulatory burdens that interfere with IVF access.
