The Fertility Center of Las Vegas Offers Complete Nutritional and Dietary Counseling Services

Written by The Fertility Center on . Posted in Blog, Infertility Issues

Diet plays a big role when you try to conceive and for the health of the resulting pregnancy. Being at a healthy weight primes your body for baby-making and can get your pregnancy off on the right path. The Fertility Center of Las Vegas offers nutritional and dietary counseling services to help optimize your chances of conception and maintaining a healthy pregnancy.

Being underweight or overweight may reduce your chances of conceiving a baby. Ideally, you should aim for a body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 25. If you are underweight, you may experience fewer ovulations, lessening the opportunities you have to get pregnant. There is also an increased risk of the baby being born underweight. An increased risk of complications such as miscarriage, high blood pressure or diabetes during pregnancy can also occur if you are overweight.

You should strive for a healthy diet before you try to get pregnant. By maintaining a healthy diet, it will become easier to continue to do so during your pregnancy. Eating healthy foods before and during your pregnancy will ensure that your baby gets the best start possible. The only source of vitamins and nutrition your baby will receive is from the foods that you consume.

If you have trouble maintaining a healthy balanced diet, you should seek help from a specialist. The Fertility Center of Las Vegas can provide services, including health assessment, dietary recommendations, menu planning, nutrition optimization and supplemental needs. We will also be there to provide emotional support and to help educate you along the way. Nutritional counseling is also provided to help with fertility issues, pre and post pregnancy, health issues, such as high cholesterol and diabetes, and maintaining a healthy weight.
