Dr. Bedient on Be Well With Doctor Stockwell

Dr. Bedient talks infertility and surrogacy on Be Well With Doctor Stockwell

What do Carrie Bedient MD and Mrs. Nevada, USA, Amanda Klein have in common? More than you would think. Our Las Vegas fertility doctor is not only Amanda’s physician, but the two of them were recently interviewed on Be Well with Doctor Stockwell. This podcast focuses on women’s health and wellness, which makes it the perfect platform for Dr. Bedient and Amanda.

The interview dove deep, touching on topics related to infertility and surrogacy. Here’s an overview of what the two women discussed on the podcast.

Insights from a fertility doctor on Be Well With Doctor Stockwell

Dr. Bedient is Southern Nevada’s only female board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist (REI). She is also a family-building advocate for women and men from all walks of life. She was drawn to fertility after completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, because she wanted to deeply understand this complex and rewarding practice area.

Our Las Vegas fertility doctor describes her job as being “part clinician, part scientist and part cheerleader.” This variety is part of the reason why Dr. Bedient loves her job so much. She also told the interviewer on Be Well With Doctor Stockwell that the “baby cuddles” at the baby visits also keep her coming to work every day.

As far as providing hope for patients, Dr. Bedient says, “What we used to do 20 years ago is dramatically different than what we do today. The success rates are phenomenally different. For most patients coming in, some way or another, we can help them have a baby and build their family.”

Mrs. Nevada, USA, shares her story on the podcast

Amanda came to our Las Vegas fertility doctor after facing multiple miscarriages. She explained that testing revealed a “heart shaped uterus,” which would make it difficult to carry a baby to term. Mrs. Nevada, USA, didn’t lose hope though.

On Be Well With Doctor Stockwell, Amanda explained she and her husband decided to rely on in vitro fertilization (IVF) and surrogacy to welcome a baby. Although the journey hasn’t been without its challenges, the couple’s amazing surrogate is now 10 weeks pregnant with their child.

When asked for fertility and life advice, Amanda says, “If something scares you, that means you should do it because it gets you out of your comfort zone.”
