Raising awareness and providing hope during Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month
The Fertility Center of Las Vegas knows getting pregnant isn’t the only challenge for some hopeful parents. Sometimes, staying pregnant can be equally difficult. Although pregnancy loss is very common (10% to 20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage), it can still be heartbreaking. Our Las Vegas fertility center is here to provide hope and support during Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month and every other month of the year.
What everyone should know about pregnancy loss
As a society, we don’t often talk about pregnancy loss. However, our Las Vegas fertility center believes that knowledge is power and understanding the facts about pregnancy loss can help you feel less alone. It’s why our own Dr. Carrie Bedient spoke to Fox 5 Vegas about this very subject.
We know a lot of information is available about pregnancy loss, and it can be overwhelming to digest it all. To simplify things, our doctors want you to focus on two facts during Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month.
Miscarriage is not your fault. Many of our patients think they are somehow responsible for pregnancy loss, but this isn’t true. Even the healthiest and most cautious person can experience a miscarriage for reasons outside of their control.
It’s still possible to have a healthy baby even after multiple miscarriages. Some people can conceive on their own after a miscarriage. However, those who have had multiple miscarriages may need a little help. New diagnostic tests and pregnancy loss treatments like IVF with genetic testing can help make parenthood possible.
