IVF for endometriosis made the dream of parenthood come true for Morgan and Chance
Like most people, Morgan and Chance assumed they would conceive on their own when they wanted to start their family. However, the hopeful parents ran into a roadblock that led them to IVF for endometriosis.
“I had painful periods and pelvic pain throughout the month, so my OB/GYN diagnosed me with stage 4 endometriosis using laparoscopic surgery. She also performed an ablation procedure to treat the endometriosis tissue,” Morgan explains. “I also did six months of acupuncture before I had excision surgery two years later.”
Around the time of her original diagnosis, the couple started to try for a baby. When they didn’t have any luck on their own, Morgan and Chance started looking for a fertility clinic. “We started doing online research and reading reviews to find a fertility clinic to help us. Our research led us to Dr. Kaye at The Fertility Center of Las Vegas,” Morgan says.
Working with Dr. Kaye to get a diagnosis and a customized treatment plan
The couple’s first appointment at our Las Vegas fertility center introduced them to Dr. Leah Kaye. Together, they sat down to discuss Morgan’s diagnosis as well as the hopeful parents’ goals and fertility treatment options. The conversation answered a lot of questions for the pair and gave them hope that parenthood was still possible.
“After talking with Dr. Kaye about our options, we decided to move forward with polyp removal surgery and IVF for endometriosis. After what Dr. Kaye told us, we felt confident that this was the best path forward for us,” Morgan recalls.
It turned out that this personalized treatment plan was a great fit for the couple because they ended up with 33 eggs and 10 embryos after their IVF cycle. Although the first embryo transfer didn’t take, the second transfer was incredibly successful.
According to Morgan, “Our second transfer was more than a success! A single embryo ended up splitting to become our two perfect baby boys, Noah and Bennett. Their six-month birthday is on Thanksgiving, which is appropriate given how thankful we are for them and FCLV.”
Words of wisdom and hope for other patients who are trying to conceive
Although the couple now has two bundles of joy at home, they haven’t forgotten what it’s like to face infertility. When asked what she would tell other hopeful parents, Morgan offered several helpful pieces of advice.
“Try not to compare your journey or situation to anyone else because everyone’s story is so different. You just need to know that you can’t control everything, so go with the flow and keep fighting for your miracle!”
One final piece of advice that Morgan has for those facing infertility is to visit our Las Vegas fertility center. “FCLV gave me the life I’ve been dreaming of since I was a little girl. The entire IVF process was so much less intimidating with the support of everyone we came into contact with at the clinic. I always felt like a princess when I was there because the level of care was outstanding.”
