Angie Cuevas is a financial coordinator who knows what it’s like to be a patient
It’s no secret that facing infertility is a challenge, which is why everyone at our Las Vegas fertility clinic strives to make the path to parenthood a little easier. This mission is especially important to Angie Cuevas, a financial coordinator who knew fertility treatment would be a part of her journey.
“I’m in a same-sex marriage, so I knew that I would have to go through fertility treatment to have a baby. Knowing this is what got me interested in working in this field,” Angie explains.
While Angie Cuevas has a personal connection to fertility care that led her to our Las Vegas fertility clinic, the team and patients at FCLV have kept her passionate about her role.
“When I applied to work at The Fertility Center of Las Vegas, I never imagined I would be joining such a talented and caring group of people,” Angie says. “The diversity and acceptance here are so beautiful, and knowing that I’m helping patients makes coming to work every day a joy.”
Helping to ease patients’ stress as a financial coordinator
Angie Cuevas has been working as a bilingual financial coordinator at our Las Vegas fertility clinic since April 2021. An average day for her consists of posting patient and insurance payments and contacting insurance providers for claim updates and appeals. She also spends her days answering billing questions from English-speaking and Spanish-speaking patients who are undergoing fertility treatment.
“Patients often have questions about whether insurance has paid their claims,” Angie explains. “As a patient myself, I know it’s a huge relief when you see your insurance company has done its part. I’m happy to work on behalf of patients to give them one less thing to worry about.”
Family and friends make life complete for Angie Cuevas
When this financial coordinator isn’t posting insurance payments and answering patient questions, she’s spending time with the people she loves.
“There’s nothing better than spending time with my wife Isabel and our family and friends. We love going to theme parks and visiting the beach as much as possible,” Angie says. “It’s the perfect way to relax after a busy week.”
