Not only does Martha Aguirre serve as the Laboratory Co-Director at the Fertility Center of Las Vegas, she is also the Laboratory Director of Cord Blood Cryosource and the Laboratory Director of GenXgeneticsII. Martha joined The Fertility Center of Las Vegas in 2002 after serving as the Laboratory Director at the San Francisco Center for Reproductive medicine and spending time as an international consultant in embryology in several Asian countries.
Originally from Colombia, Martha has a BS degree in Biology from the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota and an MS and PhD in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Minnesota. Martha is also certified by the American Board of Bioanalysts as a High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) and a Clinical Consultant (CC).
At The Fertility Center of Las Vegas, Martha is responsible for overseeing operations of all laboratories including embryology, andrology, clinical, cord blood bank and genetics lab. She also maintains all laboratory accreditations for the State of Nevada, CLIA, CAP and FDA. Patients work with Martha at the time of embryo transfer and she enjoys using the technology and expertise at The Fertility Center to positively impact the lives of the families she works with. Outside her job, Martha enjoys reading, music and watching movies.
