Laurie Whitlock is an IVF clinical coordinator who focuses on third party reproduction
The Fertility Center of Las Vegas (FCLV) isn’t just a great place to receive fertility treatment. It’s also a wonderful place to work. Just ask Laurie Whitlock, our IVF clinical coordinator who focuses on third party reproduction.
“I’ve been with FCLV since 2004, and I feel really lucky to have been with the fertility center for this long. My coworkers are like an extended family,” Laurie says. “I love being able to help fertility patients on their journey to parenthood. I’m proud of how much personalized care we give to our patients at FCLV. This is another reason why I’ve stayed here for so long.”
Laurie Whitlock has a passion for providing fertility care
Laurie has been helping patients facing infertility for nearly two decades. “With fertility care, you get to know the patients a little bit better than you do in OBGYN care. You’re forming very meaningful relationships with patients as you help them overcome infertility to have a baby.”
Before Laurie came to our Las Vegas fertility clinic, she worked for a fertility clinic in Texas. When she moved to Las Vegas, she knew she wanted to continue working in fertility care.
Laurie started her career at FCLV as a medical assistant, and she loved the hands-on role that she got to play. “At a fertility clinic, you do so much as a medical assistant. It’s not just taking vital signs and getting patients settled in an exam room. You’re working closely with the patients and the doctors to help make sure the procedures are a success. It’s rewarding and fascinating.”
Over time, Laurie transitioned into her role as an IVF clinical coordinator, specializing in cycles that involve third party reproduction.

Today, Laurie works with gestational carriers and egg donors to help make IVF cycles with third party reproduction a success.
“I assist with reviewing records for donors and surrogates, and I am the matching coordinator who works directly with surrogacy and egg donor agencies,” Laurie says. “I also make sure that the surrogates and donors get their medical clearance prior to moving onto the next step of the process.”
Laurie works with egg donors through medical clearance. As for surrogates, she works to help them get medically cleared. Once they are pregnant, she supports them until they transition to the care of an OB when their pregnancy is 10 weeks along.
In addition to her work in the world of third party reproduction, Laurie Whitlock also helps support international patients, regardless of whether they’re relying on a surrogate or an egg donor. “A lot goes into international fertility care, so I’m pretty hands on as I guide them.”
Our IVF clinical coordinator is also a proud mother
When Laurie Whitlock isn’t working, she’s all about her 17-year-old son named Ty. “He plays football and is hoping to get into a Division I college to play at the next level. I’m so proud of him.”
She recently married a wonderful man named Douglas who she met in Las Vegas. The couple has three dogs who Laurie refers to as “the princess, the old man and the annoying little brother.”
